UK: Fully funded scholarship at Coventry University 2017/2018

About the awards
This scholarship aims to reward students with excellent academic achievements. It is open to new Home UK students studying a three year honors degree with us in the academic year 2017-2018 subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
Successful students studying towards a three year degree course will receive £3000 over three years payable in equal installments at the beginning of each term. The scholarship funds can only be used for travel to campus and/or computer equipment for study purposes.
Eligibility
To qualify students must:
·         be a UK Home student of who will be studying on a three year degree course at Coventry University London
·         have a minimum of 136 UCAS points
·         Meet all the conditions of their offer and make Coventry University London their firm UCAS choice or make a firm acceptance of a direct offer of a place by the end of May 2017.

Limitations
For students joining the second year of the degree course from another institution, the eligibility criteria of the UK Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship will require a minimum of 136 UCAS points (340 UCAS points as per the old UCAS tariff system) achieved at A Levels and at least an overall of a 2:1 in their first year of their degree course. Students will be eligible for £2000 cash payable over equal instalments at the beginning of each term.
For students joining a BA (Hons) Top Up course, the eligibility criteria for the UK Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship is:
·         a minimum of 136 UCAS points achieved at A Levels
·         and a HND, Foundation Degree of equivalent with a distinction profile.
Students will be eligible for £1000 cash payable over equal installments at the beginning of each term.
Student will not be eligible for the scholarship if:
·         They are an EU or Overseas national
·         They are continuing from one course to another
·         They are a current student
·         They are sponsored students fully or partly by a third party organization
·         This scholarship is not eligible for students transferring within the Coventry University Group (i.e. Coventry University, CU Coventry, CU Scarborough, CU London).

How to apply
To be considered for a scholarship, please complete the Application Form by 31st July 2017.
1 Home' status refers to eligibility to meet the requirements for full student support within the Education (Student Support) Regulation 2016 as amended. EU Nationals, although assessed as 'Home' for fees may not be 'home' for full student support and are not therefore eligible. 
2 As defined by the Education (Student Support) Regulations 2011, as amended, Part 2 Schedule 1 (UK and related category Nationals and EU Nationals). Students who hold at least one of the qualification/grade combinations, as specified by the university and fit the published criteria will be considered part of the UK Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship.
